Ilkley Moor junior fell races
Junior Ilkley Harriers, established 2003

The Ilkley Moor fell race was the first race that Ilkley Harriers offered junior races at, in February 2003.

The 2012 races were a fantastic success so many thanks to the 155 competitors and an army of volunteer helpers who made it such a brilliant event.There were 5 new course records. In the U16 two mile race Annabel Mason of Wakefield lowered her own record by 68 secs which now makes her the fastest individual over the course ever!! Brilliant run Annabel. In the U14 one mile race Sarah Pickering of Ilkley took 25secs off the existing record. In the U10 one mile race Eric Beaumont of Keighley & Craven took 18 secs off the previous record. And in the U8's race Jath Lee from Keighley & Craven took 2 secs off the boys record and Alice Jones took 9 secs off the girls record. Well done to all our record breakers. We missed a couple of results on the day - so sorry but well done to Lucas Parker from Pennine who was 6th U12 boy and we missed him off the results; to Joseph Carnelley from Bingley who was 3rd U10 boy and didn't have his name called out and finally thankyou to Daniel Smith from Keighley & Craven who gave up his run to help an injured team mate.

U8 (min age 6 on 1 Jan 2012), 0.5 mile
U10/U12/U14, 1 mile
U16, 2 miles (2 laps) - U14's may do the two mile race providing they speak to the organiser first.
U18, 2 mile Challenge (2 laps) - run with the U16's. NO prizes but a goody bag at the finish.
Start on the grass near Wells Road, Ilkley GR 115470 - streetmap.co.uk
Toilet facilities in car park.
Ilkley Harriers Junior club Championship race - Phil Dean Trophies to be presented to first U10. U12, U14 & U16 girl and boy.
Lots of prizes!
Prizegiving at 11.35 - directly after the senior race start.
